Forgotten Items

We know that when you travel, you have many things on your mind, and it is easy to forget personal items on board. Here, we explain how to request the search. We assure you that we will do everything in our power to recover them, but we cannot guarantee it or be held responsible.

What happens with forgotten objects?

We always seek to offer you the best travel experience. At the end of all our flights, the crew walks through the plane to verify if you forgot any items on board.

If something is found, it is sent to our office at the airport, where we keep it safe until its owner comes forward.

How can you recover them?

1. Start the search

Enter Your Experience and complete the request to start the search for the missing object.

2. Help us to describe it

In "Reason," please choose "Baggage" and then the option "Forgotten object". Please be as detailed in the description as possible.

3. Await to hear from us

If we find the missing object, we will contact you to inform you and schedule the delivery.

Timetable about missing objects

The time starts counting from the location of the item:

  • Perishables: Maximum 24 hours, then objects be disposed

  • General items: 5 days, then the objects will be donated.

Examples: books, clothing, backpacks, toys, pillows, towels, Tupperware, cups, thermoses, mugs, souvenirs, etc.

  • Valuable items: Will be kept for 3 months at maximum, then transferred to authorities and donated if applicable.

Examples: Jewelry, glasses, watches, wallets, money, electronic devices.

Important

  • To deliver the lost object, you must present an official photo ID and boarding pass.

  • If a third party will be collecting the item, they must present a simple power of attorney letter and a copy of the owner's official ID.

  • If you forget your personal item in the waiting area or any other area, you should go directly to the airport's lost and found office.

  • We will do everything possible to help you find it, but Volaris is not responsible for any forgotten items.
